Sail Expo 2026 at the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club in Newport, on 17 and 18 October, was one of the best weekends of our year. For SailTime Australia it’s also a bit of a homecoming. Newport is where Graham launched our very first base in 2009, and RPAYC is home to our Pittwater base today.
We spent the weekend on the docks showing people through Seahorse, our new Dufour 41, catching up with members who dropped by to say hello, and meeting a lot of people who’d heard of SailTime but had never had the chance to ask how it actually works.
Those conversations are already turning into sailing. We’ve welcomed new members since the Expo, with several more conversations underway.
Meet Seahorse, our Dufour 41
Seahorse is one of the newest additions to the SailTime fleet and the first Dufour to join us, following our 2026 partnership with Dufour Yachts. She’s heading to our new Sandringham base on Port Phillip Bay, opening in November 2026.
Seahorse was placed into the fleet by one of our Owner Investors, which is a good example of how the Owner Investor Program works: the owner gets a quality yacht that’s professionally managed, and membership income helps offset the running costs.
Missed us at the Expo? Here’s how SailTime membership works
SailTime is the equity-free, affordable way to sail. Members pay a monthly membership fee, from $790, for guaranteed access to a professionally maintained yacht. There’s no boat to buy, no equity required and no syndicate to join, just a monthly membership that gets you sailing.
What that looks like in practice:
Guaranteed sailing time every month, with the flexibility to book extra time when it’s available
Easy online scheduling, so you can plan your sailing up to a year in advance
Professional yacht management, with maintenance, insurance, berthing and servicing all taken care of
A two-day induction included in your joining fee, so you can sail with confidence from day one
An initial 12-month commitment, then a rolling membership
And here’s the part that surprises most people: your monthly membership fee is typically less than the cost of a marina berth alone.
If you’re weighing up your options, we’ve compared SailTime membership with syndicates and boat share so you can see the difference side by side.
